Libby is passionate about elementary education because she wants to create an environment where young children feel secure and confident as they take risks, share ideas, and explore their own curiosity and knowledge. Libby has always loved working with children and seeing the world through their eyes. As a teen, she was always happiest when babysitting, teaching gymnastics, or coaching cheerleading. These experiences influenced her decision to eventually pursue a degree in Elementary Teaching.

Libby has taught elementary school in both public and private settings, in addition to owning and operating a preschool and childcare center. Her experience has proven that children learn in different ways, so she uses various methods for capturing interest and motivation. Providing visual, auditory, reading and writing, and kinesthetic learning opportunities for her students allows her to appeal to their diverse learning styles. By embracing different learning styles, she can help children succeed academically and discover the joy of learning in a way that feels natural to them.

As a lifelong learner herself, Libby is a firm believer that mistakes are proof that you are trying, learning, and growing!
