Chess Club

Sponsored by faculty member Nikki Brockman and taught by Stuart Chagrin, Chess Club meets weekly on Wednesdays from 3:15-4:15 p.m. It is open to students in all grades, and the cost is $140.00.*

*Interested students receiving financial aid should contact Mr. Kreutner for their costs.

Novel Club

This club meets on Fridays at 3:15 p.m. with Sara Peck. It is open to Middle and Upper School students with a strong interest in writing. The club will engage students in everything it takes to compose a novel, from character and plot development to writing with a clear point of view and helping the reader visualize the setting.

Art Club

This club engages students in fun, hands-on art activities in various styles and mediums. It is open to all students and meets on Thursdays at 3:15.

Drama Club

Drama Club strives to explore all aspects of dramatic expression and the theatre itself. It begins with improv exercises and an introductory discussion of theatre.

Quiz Bowl Club

This club meets on Tuesdays at 3:15 p.m. It is open to students in all grade levels who want to expand their knowledge on a broad array of topics from history and language to current events and culture.

Science Fair Club

This club meets every other Monday at 3:15. It is open to students in all grade levels who would like to compete in a school-wide science fair, with the goal of competing in SCISA’s science fair. We learn about the scientific process, how to conduct an experiment, how to make and present a project, and more.

Craft and Cooking Club

This club meets on alternating Mondays from 3 to 4. It is open to all students and will explore all kinds of crafts and cooking activities!
