USL team earns 2nd place at Battle of the Books

University School of the Lowcountry students earned 2nd place at the South Carolina Independent School Association’s Battle of the Books on September 25.  For lovers of great works of literature, both new and tested by time, this is an incredible competition in the style of quiz bowl and Family Feud. This year’s competition focused on authors Elie Wiesel, Louisa May Alcott, Ray Bradbury, Sue Monk Kidd, Willa Cather, Louise Erdrich, and many more. Congrats to Sara Peck, USL’s English teacher and team advisor, as well as team members Jack Woodward, Pai Doesburg, Charlotte Adragna, Kessler Kreutner-Eady, Will Courtney, and Emily Miller.
