USL conducts service projects within all three Lowcountry counties in conjunction with this national program. It is a great volunteer opportunity for parents and alumni to help out, from approximately 7:30 AM – 2:30 PM.
Parents are needed to help teachers drive and chaperone students to two precincts in Charleston County as students interview citizens after they finish voting. Help is needed from approximately 8:00-1:30.
We host several cultural performances throughout the year that are free and open to the public. The Fabulous Chinese Acrobats will begin their performance at 10 a.m. in the gym. Please RSVP to Judy Hubbard a jhubbard@uslowcountry.org if you plan to join us.
Every year our Upper School takes an extended trip to explore a new city or area of the country as part of our Learning Outside the Classroom program. Past trips have included the Pacific Northwest, Texas, and Toronto.
Another fun annual tradition is our annual trip downtown for the Southeastern Wildlife Exposition at Marion Square. We encourage parents, alumni, and mentors to volunteer as chaperones for this event.
This is a special LOTC for our Intermediate School students. The performance will begin at 10 a.m. at the North Charleston Performing Arts Center.
