On November 25, 2009, University School’s LOTC experience at The Citadel was spotlighted in The Moultrie News (“University School of the Lowcountry learns about civil engineering “).

On November 11, 2009, The Moultrie News featured University School’s pioneering Learning Outside the Classroom program. Helen Ravenel (“Local students learn about exit polling during the election“) specifically focused on the students’ work with exit polling and election predicting in the Mount Pleasant municipal elections. Click here for an overview of our exit polling and prediction LOTC.

USL Head of School Jason Kreutner appeared on WCSC-Channel 5 on November 4, 2009 to discuss the students’ exit polling and accurate predictions of the Mt. Pleasant mayoral and Town Council elections. Click here to watch the segment.

USL teacher Bucky Buchanan’s work with Louie’s Kids was featured in the August 2009 edition of Charleston Magazine (“Shaping Up“).

USL Head of School Jason Kreutner’s summer swim team concluded their season in mid-July, and the coverage from the Post and Courier was nice (“Snee Farm makes it 21 straight” and “City swim results“).

USL teacher Bucky Buchanan’s work with Louie’s Kids and their participation in the Cooper River Bridge Run was featured in The Moultrie News, “Cooper River Bridge Run a wild success,” on April 8, 2009.

In the April 8, 2009 issue, the Charleston City Paper, in an article (“Reigniting S.C.’s School Choice Debate”) about school tax credits, included a tuition comparison for several area independent schools. For what University School offers, it is an impressive value through this lens.
