Testimonials

Bucky Buchanan, College of Charleston / Snee Farm Swim Team

For more than half of my life I have had the pleasure and fortune of working with Jason Kreutner.  My first encounter with Jason was as a member of the Snee Farm Swim Team.  This team gave me some of the greatest experiences of my childhood.  During the early part of my high school career, I experienced the loss of my father. Jason gave incredible strength to me and my brother during this time.  I attribute most of my success today to him for his guidance during this time.  The success of this team goes well beyond the almost two decades worth of championships.  Jason will tell you that the greatest award the team has won was the 2006 Sportsmanship Award.  The team has faced several challenges, but remarkably has stood up to these challenges and embraced them.  The reason this team is able to do this is because of Jason’s ability to drive out the best in his team.  It goes beyond giving the team a reason to do their best.  He makes them understand why they should want to always do their best.  Jason has an unbelievable gift with children.  I am blessed to not only be one of his gifts, but to now take part in these gifts as a colleague.

As if growing up under the guidance of Jason was not enough, I now have been working side by side Jason for the past three summers.  Each day hold something new for me to experience with him.  His passion and commitment towards educating children is something incomparable.  The environment that Jason creates is hard for some to understand because he makes everyone around responsible for the success.  He creates this atmosphere that encourages learning, where students want to learn and are not forced.  Jason’s compassion, commitment, and creativeness has allowed for his success, and why the University School of the Lowcountry will succeed.
