It was my fortune to work with Jason Kreutner at Heathwood Hall Episcopal
School. Jason and I taught Humanities 10 together, and working on a team with
him proved to be a great educational experience for me. I learned much about
how to raise the bar with regards to students' academic standards and how to
get the best out of students. He believed in discipline but meted it out
fairly. He treated parents, faculty, administration, and students with the
same level of respect. In addition to incorporating change within the
classroom, Jason also had a vision for the school, advocating for the creation
of a Dean of Students position and increased student voice in matters related
to the school's honor code. However, it was primarily Jason's belief in every
student that marked him as the educator he is, and I believe that that passion
will make him successful in any endeavor he undertakes. His commitment to
education will serve all in his community.
