Annual Auction and Oyster Roast

On Sunday, November 4, 2012, University School will hold its Annual Auction and Oyster Roast at Goldbug Island (1560 Ben Sawyer Boulevard, Mount Pleasant) from 3:00-6:00 PM, and all members and supporters of the USL community are invited to join us for this event. Tickets are $20 per adult.  Kids tickets are $5 and includes food and unlimited games and activities with prizes.  This family event includes lots of kids games and activities, DJ with karaoke, giant inflatable slide, a fantastic silent auction, hot fresh oysters, and delicious food by Gilligan's Restaurants. Click here to register for your tickets!

In the meantime, we need your support!  The fundraising efforts and auction proceeds play a critical role in sustaining USL’s mission and this is a community effort.  The USL student body has grown quickly, creating many needs to support our growth.  This year the auction proceeds will support our LOTC program, and we all understand the importance of this experience for our children, because the world is our classroom!

The USL Fall Festival and Auction will be an indoor/outdoor event, with many activities for the children and a wonderful opportunity for families to get to know each other.  We will have fabulous food, great music and wonderful auction items! It will be a casual gathering of USL families and supporters from throughout the Lowcountry.  We are hoping that this will be our biggest auction ever!  We are asking that all USL families support USL in its fundraising efforts by soliciting or donating items for the auction.

Auction Items

We understand how busy daily life can be, but we are requesting that all USL families ask local businesses to donate goods, services or gift certificates. USL, through its many forms of service to the community, is an uplifting and positive presence.  Most businesses don't hesitate to make a contribution, in support of USL and its mission.  There will be an envelope sent home this week for each family.  Inside you will find a letter from Jason Kreutner, which provides information you may need when soliciting support, and two donor forms.  (If you need more donor forms, please don't hesitate to ask.)  When soliciting an item, we ask that you fill out the form in completion and give the yellow copy to the donor for their tax purposes.  The white copy should be turned in with the item.  Items can be dropped off at school or you can contact Tammy Villacres tvillacres@msn.com  or 843-693-1788 to make other arrangements.

The proceeds of the Annual Auction will support University School's mission. The Annual Auction depends on parents and friends to donate items. If you have an item you would like to donate, please download and complete a donation form. Donations are tax-deductible as permitted by law.
